Metalsmithing
Each week you’ll receive a beautifully produced and professionally shot jewelry making tutorial to teach you the fundamentals of metalsmithing.
Week 1 Project: Stacking Rings

Week 3 Project: Faceted Stone Stud Earrings
Week 4 Project: Wax Carved Signet Ring + Bonus: Wax Finishes and Repairs
Week 5 Project: Wax Carved Amulet
Week 6 Project: Gold Alloying, Forging, Milling, and Drawing Wire
Week 7 Project: Woven Chain Bracelet (can be make in gold or silver)
Week 8 Project: Gold Granulation (can also be done in silver)
The “Setting Up Your Workspace” presentation is available upon enrollment covering tools and safety. We’ll also include a where to buy list so you can begin sourcing tools and materials. *It is not required to purchase tools or make the projects to enjoy the online learning.

You’ll learn about the origins and significance of adornment with personalized guidance on deepening your relationship to what sacred means to you in your creative practice.
Each week is designed to take you through an initiatory progression.
You’ll learn Taoist Stone Medicine through the lens of a jeweler with the Materia Medica of several stones per week.

FAQ’S
Will we need to buy all the tools and materials in advance?
To take the course and learn the techniques you do not need any tools. You will learn so much from watching the lessons and joining class discussions, there’s absolutely no requirement to make the projects or invest in your own tools and studio set up. You might decide to watch the tutorials at home and sign up for benchtime time at a local jewelry studio to use their tools. You might only want to make the silversmithing or the wax carving projects to get started. This is all welcome.

Do you offer an in person apprenticeship?
