Rituals with A wild Dove

My favorite ritual alone is...

"If I have an evening home alone it usually involves vinyl, palo santo, and a face mask.

I love picking out a record (been a lot of Bowie lately.. and always, who am I kidding) and dancing around my room while the Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask works its magic.

I use the high vibe I've created to cleanse my space by lighting some palo santo to smudge the door frames, window sills and minerals in it's smoke."

A Wild Dove // Nightly Rituals

My last ritual of the day is...

"A Rose Quartz treatment. I went on a road trip through the Badlands in South Dakota last summer and brought home a large hunk of rose quartz. It works with the heart chakra and ends my day day with some self love and leads me into more peaceful dreams. I lay in bed with the stone over my heart for 20 minutes."

My first ritual of the morning is...

"sitting with tea. I fill my kettle with fresh water, whispering words of love and gratitude into it. I then open a tin from Global Tea Hut ("Spirit" a shou puerh tea) and inhale the scent of the leaves.

I sit on a meditation cushion and sheepskin from WMN Space and create a chaxi (tea stage) with a slab of petrified wood, a stone, and a flower.

I steep the tea leaves in a handmade pot from Peter Kuo and serve myself several bowls in silence.

This morning practice centers me for the day and leaves me feeling calm, awake and connected."

Spring Equinox Blessings

It was such a joy to conjure spring at Space by Mama Medicine yesterday and raise funds for the children supported by A Chance In Life. We joined our voices in song to honor the individual and collective rebirth this potent time offers us.

I made these earrings for the silent auction and they found a beautiful new home with Deborah Hanekamp. So honored to have her in my work! They are Spanish Red Quartz, it is rare to find this color as it is the presence of iron and hematite that give them such a rich red. I lovingly coined them the Vitality Studs as they evoke movement, sensuality, and circulation while being deeply grounding.

Blessings to you and yours for this new beginning. Like a flower bud reaching up to the light, may we all find courage to bloom.
